About ELCA

Harold & Dorothy Grove

ELCA Since 1982

East Linn Christian Academy has been impacting the lives of students in the Mid-Willamette Valley for twenty-nine years. During the 2010-2011 school year we had the opportunity to educate 252 students representing 64 local congregations. ELCA was created to be an alternative educational choice for those families who wanted to focus on excellent academics with integrated scriptural truths. Since the first day the doors of ELCA were opened in 1982 by founders Harold and Dorothy Grove, the Lord has touched the hearts and minds of many young people. Our mission statement emphasizes East Linn's commitment to serve parents by educating their children in a God-centered, Scripture-based, educational environment as we equip their children academically, emotionally, physically and spiritually to serve Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. At East Linn Christian Academy, God is continuing to do a significant work in the lives of students. The young people that move through our program are growing intellectually while they develop spiritually. Caring faculty and staff unselfishly pour themselves into the lives of the students making absolutely sure that there is something very unique about an East Linn Christian education. This approach to education becomes evident as you see our students develop a Christian worldview, personalizing their faith enabling them to become valued workers in the community, in their churches, and on the mission field. What continues to happen today at East Linn happens because of the faithfulness of our supporters who uphold us in prayer and give of their time, talents and money.

Mission Statement

East Linn Christian Academy is committed to serving parents by educating their children in a God-centered, Scripture based, educational environment in order to equip students academically, emotionally, physically, and spiritually for service to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Doctrinal Statement

East Linn Christian Academy is an educational institution committed to consistent Biblical Christianity as set forth in the following doctrinal position. It is nondenominational in character and under Biblical principals.

We Believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We Believe that for salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration, sovereignly applied by the Holy Spirit and evidenced by a living faith in Christ, is absolutely essential.

We Believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

We Believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of the life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We Believe in the spiritual unity of beleivers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

We Believe God created man and from the man created woman. He created them male and female. He created man in his own image, in the image of God He created them. We beleive that God created marriage and for this reason He designed marriage and marital relationships to be between a man and a woman and that homosexual relationships are the result of a depraved mind. (Gen. 1:27, 2:21-24, Rom. 1:18-27)
