Janelle Detweiler
SUPERINTENDENT
While the majority of my education, post high school was obtained from secular universities (AA from Portland Art Institute, BA and M. Ed from Oregon State University and a Professional State Administrator Licensure from Lewis and Clark College), my appreciation of Christian education goes way back. Having attended Christian high schools, my husband Jeryl and I both share a deep appreciation for Christian education. .Jeryl graduated from Western Christian in Salem, and myself, and our two children graduated from East Linn Christian. As a graduate, and the parent of two East Linn Christian graduates, I can personally testify to the strong spiritual foundation East Linn Christian provides.

Kim Bates
ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL
When considering my career, I initially aimed to become a psychologist but shifted to teaching for financial stability. After earning a teaching certificate, I struggled to find a public school job and reluctantly applied to Albany Christian School, where I was offered a 4th-grade teaching position. To my surprise, I found joy in teaching and stayed for four years before moving to East Linn Christian. My passion for education grew, and after some years, I pursued mediation, volunteering in juvenile courts, which aligned with my psychology interests. Eventually, I earned a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and became the principal of Linn Christian Elementary School. Reflecting on my journey, I see how my experiences were guided by a greater plan, leading to a fulfilling role in education.

Robby Gilliam
SECONDARY PRINCIPAL
ATHLETIC DIRECTOR
I have dedicated my life to Christian education, valuing its significance for myself and my children. Christian education goes beyond safety and Bible classes; it involves nurturing the whole child—mind, body, and spirit—to glorify God. At East Linn Christian, I partner with parents to guide students toward purposeful lives centered on faith.
My extensive experience includes roles such as campus pastor, Marketing Director, Principal, and Superintendent, allowing me to understand school dynamics and support colleagues. Strong communication helps me collaborate with parents, students, and faculty to address challenges. Additionally, I have served as a Youth Pastor and owned several businesses.
Outside of school, I am passionate about theater, music, and athletics, particularly basketball, which I have coached to a State Championship. I encourage students to engage in both academics and extracurricular activities.
As the MS/HS Principal at East Linn Christian, where my four children attend, I aspire for every student to embody Romans 15:13, filled with hope and joy through faith.

Krista Wolgamott
PRESCHOOL DIRECTOR
My husband graduated from East Linn Christian, and we always wanted to enroll our kids there. After a campus tour for my preschooler, I was excited to apply and later get the job at East Linn Christian. With 23 years in education, including 15 in public schools, I now teach young children while sharing my faith. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, baking, painting, traveling, and drinking coffee. My favorite scripture, 1 Peter 4:10, emphasizes using our gifts to serve others. I hold an Associate of Arts degree in Biblical Studies and have over 750 hours of Early Childhood Education. My deep hope is for students to know their worth to God and develop a relationship with Jesus.
